Power Level or PL is a character's ability level in combat. A high PL denotes a character's "ascension" to a supra-mortal state. A character's PL number enhances all stats and actions in battle.
Normal Humanoids have a PL of around 1-100 depending on specie, thought exceptions can be made owning to a being who has made effort to transform his body and mind, genetic mutation, or exceptional specie.
Humanoids have attempted to reach the pinnacle of humanoid development through the martial arts, meditation, and training and it has been theorized that some specie can develop extrasensory perception, super movement, and energetic powers. Those that have accessed this consciousness are said to have "ascended".
